In 2009, I discerned a call to religious life in Society of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ). Since then, my life has been a journey of joy and amazing experiences and friendships. Here is the story of some of them!
The Society was founded in revolutionary France over 200 years ago, by St. Madeleine Sophie Barat. It was brought to North America by St. Rose Philippine Duchesne in 1818.
What attracted me to the RSCJ? Above all, from the moment I encountered the Society, I felt at home. My passion for education and for all humanity, my capacity for for relating to people and for compassion, these things and so much more let me know that I was finally "home." Since then, I have learned more and more about the Sacred Heart of Jesus and listening for God's heartbeat in the world.
